What data we collect
We only collect data that you give us voluntarily or that your browser automatically sends during normal website browsing.
Data you provide
When you fill in the contact form we collect:
- Name (required) — so we can reply to you by name
- Email address (required) — to send you a reply
- Message (required) — the content of your request
- Phone (optional, if you include it) — only if you prefer to be contacted by voice
Automatically collected data
Like any website, we receive basic technical information from your browser: browser type, operating system, language, referring page, date and time of visit. If you have consented to analytics cookies, we also collect aggregated and anonymised data on how you browse (see the Cookies section).
We do not collect precise geolocation data, biometric data, health data, or data of any of the special categories referred to in Art. 9 GDPR.
Purposes and legal bases of processing
| Purpose | Legal basis | Data used |
|---|---|---|
| Responding to requests sent via the contact form or WhatsApp | Performance of pre-contractual measures at the request of the data subject (Art. 6.1.b GDPR) | Name, email, phone, message |
| Measuring aggregate website usage (Google Analytics) | Explicit consent (Art. 6.1.a GDPR) | Anonymised browsing data |
| Defending our rights in case of abuse (e.g. spam, attacks) | Legitimate interest (Art. 6.1.f GDPR) | IP, technical security data |
No automated marketing, no profiling, no data selling. We do not use your data to send you newsletters, commercial offers, or promotional material unless you explicitly ask us to.
Retention periods
- Contact form messages: retained for up to 24 months from the last interaction, then deleted. If you become a student of the School, the data follows the educational relationship for the strictly necessary time.
- Google Analytics data: retention set to 14 months, then automatically deleted by Google.
- Technical logs (IP, security): retained for a maximum of 6 months.
Recipients and data transfers
Your data remains accessible only to those who need to process it for the purposes listed above. In particular:
- The School's conductors (Anna Carla, Nicolaos), who read and reply to messages.
- The contact form provider (the site's email delivery service), which receives the message to deliver it to us.
- Google Ireland Ltd. for the Google Analytics 4 service (only if you have given consent). Google may transfer data to non-EU countries; the transfer is based on the Standard Contractual Clauses approved by the European Commission.
We do not share your data with third parties for commercial, advertising, or profiling purposes.
Cookies and analytics tools
This site uses two types of cookies:
Technical cookies (always active)
These are the cookies strictly necessary for the site to function. We save two preferences in your browser via localStorage:
sctheme— your theme choice (light/dark), so we don't ask you on every visit.sc-cookie— your cookie banner choice (accepted / declined), so we don't show it again.
For these cookies your consent is not required, as they are essential to provide you with the requested service (Art. 122 Italian Privacy Code).
Analytics cookies (with consent)
Only if you accept via the banner do we activate Google Analytics 4 with these enhanced privacy settings:
- Anonymised IP — Google receives a truncated IP, not traceable to you.
- No advertising — we do not share data with Google's advertising services (Ad Storage denied).
- Consent Mode v2 — until you make a choice, no analytics are triggered.
- 14-month retention — the minimum configurable.
Google Analytics helps us understand, in aggregate form, which sections of the site are useful and which are confusing — so we can improve them. Nothing more.
You can change your mind at any time:
